01/08/2012 Dr. Ken Bates Retires
After 37 years of dedicated service to the children of Catawba County, Dr. Ken Bates has retired from the practice of medicine at Catawba Pediatrics.
Despite not being involved daily with patient care, Dr. Bates plans to continue being involved in the community helping children of Catawba County.
10/05/2011 Dr. W. Mark Barrett joins Catawba Pediatrics.
Dr. Barrett graduated from the University of Tennessee - Memphis College of Medicine.
He completed his Internship and Residency in Pediatrics from the University of Texas- Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
He comes to us from Memphis Children's Clinic in Memphis Tennessee where he has practiced since 2002.
Dr. Barrett lives in Hickory with his wife and 3 children.

Parents,
If your child received a dose of 2010-11
Flumist and is less than 9 Years of age, please call the office to see if
a second dose is needed.

Portal:
Catawba
Pediatrics now has a secure (user name/password/encrypted) web-portal to
enable you as a parent to access our Patient Portal. Features include
the following:
1.
Create an Account. You will be asked to
create a User ID and Password, as well as provide some information to
validate who you are.
2.
My Patient Page. You will be able to login
or become a new online patient. You can update demographics and
insurance, update email address, update user name and password, and
access all online services offered by your physician. This will be
downloaded into our Practice Management System.
3.
Appointment Requests. Ability to request
well child appointments for your child(ren), allowing you to specify
best dates, times, days, provider, etc. This request is for non-urgent
appointments.
4.
Health Forms. Ability to complete Medical
History Forms on line. This will be downloaded into our Practice
Management System.
5.
Pay My Bill Online. You will be asked to
verify demographics. Enter your account number and payment amount.
Make your payment. Print out your confirmation screen and maintain for
your records.
To access
the Patient Portal, go to our website http://catawbapediatrics.net. Click on
MANAGE MY ACCOUNT. This will take you to the next page which is the
Patient Portal.
